Pony Classes

Pony Classes 2023

Judging commences at 11am sharp on Sunday May 7th 2023.

5% of all prize money deducted in accordance with I.S.A rules.

Prizes 1st €40, 2nd €20, 3rd €10.

Entry fee €15. Entry fees will not be refunded in the case of animals entered and later withdrawn.

Classes with 2 or less entries may be cancelled

NB. All riders must wear helmets. All foals must be led. Competitors must obey stewards and safety officers at all times. All animals must be led by persons 16 years and over. No Stallions allowed. Exhibitors are requested to have adequate insurance cover for their animals.

All prize monies will be paid out in the following two weeks after the Kingdom County Fair and NOT on the day of the Fair.
Entry for classes can be made online or by post before April 28th. Full payment must be submitted with entry. Entries to secretary Markie Tarrant, Island of Geese, Tralee, Co. Kerry.

RING 2 LED PONIES

Class 21 – Brood Mare 148cm and under certified in foal or foal at foot.

Class 22 – Best Pony Foal

Class 23 – Connemara Pony – Mare or gelding any age, to be led.

 

RING 2 RIDDEN CLASSES

Class 24 – Open Lead Rein Class for ponies, mares or geldings 4 years and over, not exceeding 123cm, and suitable for and to be ridden by riders which have not attained their 7th birthday on 01/01/2022. Riders in this class must not compete in any other class at the same show on the same day with the exception of the First Ridden.

Class 25 – First Ridden

Class 26 –  Pony not exceeding 128cm to be ridden by rider under 13 years on 01/01/2022.

Class 27 –  Pony not exceeding 138cm to be ridden by rider under 15 years on 01/01/2022.

Class 28 –  Pony not exceeding 148cm to be ridden by rider under 17 years on 01/01/2022.

RING 2 NOVICE SHOWING

Class 29 – Ridden riding school pony

Class 30 – Ridden Pony – Confined to Kerry Ponies

Class 31 – Fancy Dress Pony – To be ridden

Class 32 – Riding Club Horse – to be ridden by adult.

Class 33 – Donkey – No Stallions. To be led by person 16 years and over.

Class 34 – Miniature Pony – under 11 hands. To be led by person 16 and over

Class 35 – Novice Lead Rein

Class 36 – Led Class for animals to be ridden by a person with a physical or learning disability.
