Pony Classes 2019

Prizes 1st €40, 2nd €20, 3rd €10. Entry fee €12. Entry fees will not be refunded in the case of animals entered and later withdrawn.  5% of all prize money deducted in accordance with I.S.A rules. Judging commences at 11am sharp on Sunday May 12th 2019.

NB. All riders must wear helmets. All foals must be led. Competitors must obey stewards and safety officers at all times. All animals must be led by persons 16years and over. No Stallions allowed. Exhibitors are requested to have adequate insurance cover for their animals.

RING 1 LED PONIES

Class 23 – Brood Mare 148cm and under certified in foal or foal at foot.

Class 24 – Connemara Pony – Mare and Foal, Registered in the Connemara stud book, Reg number to be given on entry.

Class 25 – Best Pony Foal

Class 26 – Show Pony, Young stock. Yearling Colt, Gelding or Filly not exceeding 140cm likely to make a Childs riding pony.

Class 27 – Show Pony Young stock 2 y.o. Colt, Gelding or Filly not exceeding 143cm, likely to make a Childs riding pony.

Class 28 – Show Pony Young stock 3 y.o. Gelding or Filly not exceeding 148cm likely to make a Childs riding pony.

Class 29 –  Champion Young Stock Show Pony confined to 1st & 2nd placed animals from Classes 23-28

Class 30 – Hunter Pony 1 y.o. Colt, Gelding or Filly not to exceed 145cm

Class 31 – Hunter Pony 2 y.o. Colt, Gelding or Filly not exceeding 148cm likely to make a Childs hunter pony.

Class 32 – Hunter Pony 3 y.o. Gelding or Filly not exceeding 150cm likely to make a Childs hunter pony.

Class 33 – Connemara Yearling Colt, Gelding or Filly not exceeding 145cm

Class 33A – Connemara Mare or Gelding to be led.

Class 34 – CHAMPION YOUNG STOCK HUNTER PONY
Confined to 1st and 2nd place winners in classes 29 to 33

Class 35 – Section A – Welsh Pony Pure Bred – excluding stallions – 3 y.o. and over. Reg number on entry

Class 36 – Kerry Bog Pony

RING 2 RIDDEN CLASSES

Class 37 – Open Lead Rein Class for ponies, mares or geldings 4 years and over, not exceeding 123cm, and suitable for and to be ridden by riders which have not attained their 7th birthday on 01/01/2019. Riders in this class must not compete in any other class at the same show on the same day with the exception of the First Ridden.

Class 37a – First Ridden

Class 38 – Ridden Connemara Pony not exceeding 148cm. Pony to be registered in the Connemara Stud book. Reg number with entry.

Class 39 – Show Pony not exceeding 148cm to be ridden by rider under 17 years on 01/01/2019.

Class 40 – Show Pony not exceeding 138cm to be ridden by rider under 15 years on 01/01/2019.

Class 41 – Show Pony not exceeding 128cm to be ridden by rider under 13 years on 01/01/2019.

Class 42 – CHAMPION SHOW PONY
Confined to 1st and 2nd place winners in classes 38 – 42

Class 43 – Combined Show Hunter pony – 153cm – 4y.o. and over to be ridden by rider under 20 years on 01/01/2019.

Class 44 – Combined Show Hunter pony 143cm 4 y.o. and over ridden by rider under 17 years on 01/01/2019.

Class 45 – Combined Show Hunter pony 133cm 4 y.o. and over ridden by rider under 14 years on 01/01/2019.

Class 46 – Combined Show Hunter starter stakes pony 4 y.o and over and not to exceed 133cm – mares and geldings suitable to be ridden by rider under 12 years on 01/01/2019

Class 47 – SHOW HUNTER PONY CHAMPIONSHIP
Confined to 1st and 2nd place winners in classes 44 – 47

Class 48 – Side Saddle – Junior ridden class exceeding 138cm, but not exceed 153cm.

Class 49 – Open Intermediate Show Hunter, for mares and Geldings, 4 years and over exceeding 148cm and not exceeding 158cm to be ridden by rider under 25 01/01/2019

RING 3 Working HUNTER RIDDEN CLASSES

Class 50 – Open Working Starter – Ponies not exceeding 133cm. Riders not having attained their 12th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 51 – Open Working Hunter Pony Class – 133cm. Riders not having attained their 14th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 52 – Open Working Hunter Pony Class – 143cm. Riders not having attained their 17th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 53 – Open Working Hunter Pony Class – 153cm. Riders not having attained their 20th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 54 – OPEN WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP
Confined to 1st and 2nd place winners in classes 50 – 53

Class 55 – Novice Working Hunter Pony Class not exceeding 133cm – Riders not having attained their 14th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 56 – Novice Working Hunter Pony class 143cm. Riders not having attained their 17th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 57 – Novice Working Hunter Pony Class – 153cm. Riders not having attained their 20th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 58 – Working Hunter Open Pony Class – 158cm. Riders not having attained their 25th birthday on 01/01/2019.

Class 59 – Working Hunter Pony Class – Confined to Kerry – 153cm. Riders not having attained their 14th birthday on 01/01/2019

Class 60 – NOVICE WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP
Confined to 1st and 2nd place winners in classes 55 – 59

Class 61 – Open Intermediate Working Hunter for Mares or Geldings 4 years and over exceeding 158cm to be ridden by a rider who has not attained their 25th birthday on 01/01/2019.

RING 4 NOVICE SHOWING

Class 62 – Ridden riding school pony

Class 63 – Ridden Pony – Confined to Kerry Ponies

Class 64 – Fancy Dress Pony – To be ridden

Class 65 – Riding Club Horse – to be ridden by adult.

Class 66 – Donkey – No Stallions. To be led by person 16 years and over.

Class 67 – Miniature Pony – under 11 hands. To be led by person 16 and over

Class 68 – Novice Lead Rein

Class 69 – Led Class for animals to be ridden by a person with a physical or learning disability.
